My thoughts on the new Irregular Choice x Dumbo and Bambi collection

I love, love, love Dumbo (and Bambi for that matter) but Dumbo has always had the power to make me more emotional. The film though does have its flaws – i.e the racist undertones (which aren’t subtle enough to be undertones really) of the crows. It’s Dumbo’s story though that I think resonates with a lot of people, a lonely, shy outsider who is ridiculed for his appearance and just wants to be loved. This post however isn’t an examination of Dumbo so I’ll stop there but I just wanted to explain a little why the figure of Dumbo is one that has always had strong connotations for me.

So when I saw that my favourite shoe brand, Irregular Choice, were going to be revealing a Dumbo collection I was over the moon. When I saw Bambi there too I was doubly over the moon! The collection is of course absolutely stunning. But before I go into each individual item I first wanted to discuss both collections as a whole. Also although, I very much want to buy something from the collection, it is going to have to be something I save up for and for those wondering the two items I would personally buy are the Sweet Little Dumbo boots and the Let Your Dreams Soar bag.

Dumbo

Bambi

In regards to the pricing I noticed that the pricing was slightly higher than usual for this collection but I want to make clear this is not something I’m critical of. These are unique, bespoke shoes – I’ve always known why the price tag is there but wanted to mention as I’ve seen a lot of feedback about this on the Irregular Choice groups I follow. What I will say though is that I can definitely see customer feedback present in this collection with several different heel options as well as trainers (I especially like how there is two different heel height options for the same design). I don’t know if this feedback also played into the decision not to have a character heel (which, is one of my favourite Irregular Choice trademarks). I also think the Bambi collection, especially the Sweet as Can Be collection, is going to look stunning come spring – it’s a shame they couldn’t have had the release then (though a bonus for us!).

Irregular Choice x Dumbo

Little Star (bag, purse and shoes)

If the massive Irregular Choice bags aren’t your style then this one is for you. This style is based off an infamous scene of Dumbo performing at the circus. I love the glitter detail of the flames and the 3D dumbo on the side of the bag. If you like to have a matching set as well this is a cute little set and probably the least expensive of the options (which makes sense as the bag is smaller).

I Give You Dumbo

I love, love love that these boots combine Dumbo and Timothy alongside an explosion of different colours. This style of boots reminds me of something an old eccentric librarian would rock (don’t ask me why) alongside a midi skirt and they are so Irregular Choice it’s insane! Unfortunately, this style of boot has just never appealed to me but if they’re your style I think they would look amazing.

The Big Act

When I saw this style come out in the teaser on Thursday (before the big drop with everything!) I had to admit that it was pretty darn cute. I love the unique square bag and think it would look amazing with the matching shoes with a bright red dress. For some reason all the glitter makes me think this style would look great at Christmas parties!

You’re Flyin Tights

Pastel lovers rejoice, I think these bold tights would look so cute in a pastel co-ord and I definitely want to ask for them Christmas (hint, hint to anyone reading). I’m a sucker for cloud print so I was always doomed to be besotted with these, especially as they have a subdued colour palette, which I think make them a bit easier to balance in an outfit if you find patterned tights a bit tricky.

Dumbos Big Top

I’ll admit in my heady excitement for the other items in the collection, I glanced over this pair but I am upset with myself for doing so. Not only do they have a gorgeous cloud print on the side (and would of course match the You’re Flyin Tights perfectly) but they have a cute little Dumbo on the side. The heel in fact matches the heel of the Sweet Little Dumbo boots so I think they are a companion to them. I also love that the heel is shorter (great for all those who are in the small heel camp). The front with the little pictures from the film reminds me a lot of their Alice in Wonderland collection and I love that reoccurring element of their style. They’re unfortunately out of stock in my size of these at the moment but if they ever go back in stock I’d be very tempted to pick these up!

Sweet Little Dumbo

So these boots are what me first made me fall in love with this collection. I love everything about them from the style of boot to the cloud print and the daring to put metallic purple, lime green and white and red star print on the same shoe. My favourite part has to be Dumbo’s ears sticking boldly off the side and the inclusion of Dumbo both in and out of his clown makeup. It’s the little details of the frill around Dumbo’s neck to the little pom pom on clown face Dumbo’s hat that are just so Irregular Choice! The little love hearts coming from Dumbo’s trunk just about send me over the edge.

I am very determined to save up and own these one day.

Precious Boy Bag

First of all, I have to say that the straps of this bag are to die for. I have been really loving metallics recently, I’ve always been nervous of them but after being inspired by seeing some fashion icons absolutely rocking them; I’ve been more and more tempted to give them a go. That along with more outfits rocking a single colour.

This bag would have course look beautiful with the Sweet Little Dumbo and Dumbo’s Big Top shoes and I squealed when I saw the little pom pom. The scene with Dumbo and his mum at the back though would almost send me to tears on a daily basis, however, the bag does have two pockets, which is incredibly useful and would be worth the tears! The strap also looks like it’s removable so you can either rock it as a shoulder bag (which, I’m useless at doing) or a cross body bag (which, I’m much better at).

Makin History Tights

This is another one to add to the Christmas wishlist and one I’d love to rock with the Sweet Little Dumbo boots. They are definitely not for the wallflower though (to be fair though neither is Irregular Choice) but I absolutely adore them.

Dumbo Lifestyle-2

Little Sleepy Head

Don’t get me wrong these are still absolutely beautiful, but personally these appeal to me the least out of the Dumbo collection simply because of personal preference. I don’t often wear gold so they wouldn’t compliment a lot of what I own, however, I love the sleepy time Dumbo theme. The sleeping dumbo on the side is positively adorable.

Let Your Dreams Soar Bag

This bag lights up. I repeat this bag lights up. This is hands down my favourite of the Dumbo bags (closely followed by the Precious Boy bag). Forget what I just said about gold, I don’t care. One, this bag is the size of me basically. Two, this bag as mentioned lights up. Three, it features an absolutely adorable sleeping baby Dumbo on the front and on the back light blue baby fur with gold stars on it! I love, love, love when Irregular Choice incorporate faux fur on their bags and this is no exception. This bag also features glitter; what more could you want?! Also, as I’ve mentioned before you can either carry it  or put it round you!

Sheer Dumbo perfection.

Dumbo Lifestyle-3

Sleepy Head Purse

This is of course a perfect companion to the bag and even features faux purple fur on the back (a touch of genius). The blue metallic inside is also dreamy perfection. Another one to add to the Christmas list!

Big Things Start Small

These are a bit manic even for me but I love that Irregular Choice now has trainer options and I could see Luna Lovegood rocking these. They also become more and more appealing the more I look at them for some reason! I’m not sure though if they have the patented Irregular Choice sole but I love all the textural details from the burgundy velvet trim to the fluffy faux fur. If you want some trainers that are more than a bit different, these are for you!

Irregular Choice x Bambi

I can definitely see that a lot of excitement for this collection has been centered on Bambi and I can see why the collection is stunning! I love Flower and Thumper so was guaranteed to be obsessed with this collection and will definitely be rocking it come Spring next year.

Woodland Playtime

I can see why this is already sold out, a matching boots and handbag set, yes please! This boots for me aren’t my personal preference style wise (as mentioned before with the Dumbo boots), which is a shame because I love the Bambi and Flower on the side and the beautiful flower detailing. I also adore that the texture of the ‘grass’ part of the shoe is fluffy to initiate real grass! The soles for the bambi shoes are of course absolutely stunning and adorable with Bambi on one shoe and Thumper on the other.

Bambi lifestyle-4

Bambi lifestyle-6

The purple fluff on the Woodland Playtime bag reminds me a lot of the bag from the Toy Story collection, which I really like as a reoccurring theme throughout the collections. I personally would get the Toy Story one just because I like things to match and would get upset if I didn’t have the matching shoes for the Bambi one (plus I love TOY STORY!). I do absolutely adore the metallic strap and inside lining of this bag, as well as the print on the back of the bag.

Sweet As Can Be

I am absolutely in love with this three piece set and am determined to buy it for Easter next year to rock with some pastels. I love that the shoes have Thumper and Miss Bunny on (and that Miss Bunny was included!) and the little pom pom to look like a rabbit tail on the back just about throws me over the edge. Once again this collection features that stunning metallic pink along with a beautiful heart on each side of the shoe – one for Thumper and Miss Bunny. These shoes are a delight and I can already think of about ten different outfits to wear them with.

Bambi lifestyle-13
Image: Irregular Choice

The bag is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. Once again, I love the metallic pink, the fact that you can either have it go around you or hold it on your shoulder. Thumper’s flower crown tops it all off and makes this my brand of amazing. I also love that the bag has two compartments and features the same detailing as the shoes on the side (the rosette).

Bambi lifestyle-8

The metallic blue on the little purse is absolutely gorgeous! And I love the little sassy Thumper and Miss Bunny on the front. Honestly, I think this is my favourite complete set from the collection.

Sweet Little Prince

The next few items all make up the same mini collection but have different names so I’ll discuss them separately. This pair of flats is actually my favourite of this mini collection and I think this items are the best for someone who loves Irregular Choice but doesn’t feel as comfortable in some of the more ‘out there’ styles. These are beautiful shoes for autumn (the colours!) complete with cute Bambi detailing on the side. I think these would look adorable with some tights and a cute Autumn dress.

A Woodland Tale Bag

This is one of Martin’s (my boyfriend) favourites from the collection because he prefers all the black items (ha, ha). I will admit this is adorable and would make a great travelling or makeup bag (if you’re fancy). It also features Thumper and Miss Bunny on the back!

Bambi Lifestyle-3

Prince Of The Forest

This is another one of Martin’s favourites and essentially the heeled version of Prince of the Forest for those who like some heel with their shoe!

Darling Deer Purse

I don’t have much to same about this other than if you love this mini collection than this purse is a delightful accompaniment!

Bashful Skunk

I very nearly bought these shoes but stopped myself only because I can’t afford to buy Irregular Choice often and already own a pair of sparkly flats so decided that for my next pair I needed something slightly different. I absolutely love Flower however and all the floral details, the frill on the back in black and white and the little Flower rosette on these shoes. These are an absolute dream.

Bambi lifestyle-7
Image: Irregular Choice

Bashful Skunk purse

If you are a Flower lover than this one if for you. It features the same flower motif from the shoes (with plenty of glitter) and I love the love heart with Flower on, on the back of the purse.

Forest Friends

The tights and the shoes share the same name so I’ll talk about them together. This is the collection for you if you want Bambi and Thumper on your shoes and a delightful bow at the front (featuring a rabbit tail and a beautiful flower). They’d look stunning with the tights, which also feature Flower who is nodded to on the shoe.

I’m Thumpin

If you cover something with a frill around the edge, I’m there. I love this heeled tribute to Thumper and Miss Bunny (they’d make such a great Valentines shoe if you want to go for something out of the pink-red colour combo). The flowers around the portrait of Miss Bunny and Thumper are so cute and if I wasn’t in love with the frill already it had to be a beautiful shade of blue! The purple glitter heel is also spectacular – I can’t tell what the white pattern is on it but to me it looks like a butterfly.

Hyah Bambi

The next shoe is also part of a three part set but because they have different names I’ll talk about them separately. These heels are absolutely stunning and I love that there is a smaller heel as well for those like me who would struggle with a large heel (I’ll make an exception for character heels!). I love that the whole heel is made to look like Bambi and the floral detailing and butterfly makes these adorable.

I’m All Twitterpatted Bag

I’m not going to lie, I was very excited when I saw this was a backpack (I am definitely a backpack lover). Also, it’s round (I love it when bags are round or square and less of the traditional bag shape) and that this bag has ears! The metallic pink inside makes my heart sing! This is definitely my second favourite of the Bambi bags, edging on being my favourite because it’s a backpack. This also happens to my friend Callie’s pick for me.

Darling Deer

This is my friend Callie’s second pick for me and I definitely agree that these are my favourite over the higher heels because I love the glitter heel and I would definitely fall over in the other pair. These once again feature that cute grass detailing and flowers. I would love to rock these in an outfit.

Meadow Playtime Tights

These are my favourite of the Bambi tights because they feature not only pink and dark pink/red which I love as colour combination but because they feature love hearts and I’m a sucker for heart print. Definitely one to invest in if you’re a lover of pink and need more adorable tights in your life!

For anyone interest although I love everything Irregular Choice does this is what I would buy (in desirability order):

  • Sweet Little Dumbo
  • Let Your Dreams Soar Bag (and Sleepy Head purse)
  • All the Dumbo tights
  • Darling Deer (this originally was lower down the list before seeing the shoes in person)
  • Dumbos Big Top
  • Precious Boy Bag
  • Sweet As Can Be Bag and shoes
  • Bashful Skunk shoes (I love Flower!!!)
  • Im Thumpin shoes
  • Meadow Playtime tights

So essentially about 90% of the collection. Realistically, I hope to save up and own the Sweet Little Dumbo and Let Your Dreams Soar Bag because after seeing them in person I am completely besotted.

If you’ve bought something from this collection or have a stand out favourite let me know in the comments below!

For anyone interested in the collection it’s available here. Also, I just want to note that none of the shoes or bags contain leather.

June Favourites

Hello, everyone! June was very much a mixed bag for me as a human being but hopefully I’ll be able to pull some favourites out of the month. I really need to note down what I’ve been enjoying throughout the month more as honestly as I get to writing these posts and it’s not until half way through writing that I remember what I’ve done in the month.

Style wise I’ve been all over the place this month. I’m talking 90s queen one minute and 70s flowy hippy style the next but I’m trying to embrace it even if my Instagram feed is probably a chaotic mess to most people. I’ve also been trying to document my outfits more. I’ve found taking a photograph and then taking a day or two off works because in that time off I realise the picture is actually nice instead of instantly thinking its terrible.

This was also the month I started my YouTube channel (finally!) and although I’m still nervous I’m excited for future videos and hopefully I point where I can properly align my schedule with this blog. At the moment I’m uploading about once a week (purely because of how long editing takes). Since I work full time during the week I struggle to get videos out until the weekend. I’m actually going to film a video to accompany this post but it probably won’t be up until after this post has been released. One of the reasons for this is because some of the items that are my favourites are on hold for me Friday so I’d like to wait for the video to show some proper shots of me wearing them! When the video is live I’ll be sure to add it to this post however.

What I’ve been wearing….

Vintage clothing

This month I’ve really been inspired by rummaging through vintage and charity shops to find one off pieces. Since I’ve also been loving 90s style this has been quite successful as 90s items aren’t too hard to find in either place compared to older more sought after 50s pieces. Although, I’ll admit some months when I’m feeling less inspired or focused it can feel like a minefield; it’s been a great tactic for me this month as I get to reuse pieces (which is better for Mother Earth); save money a lot of the time and be a uniquely sassy individual.

April in blazer

I picked up the blazer in the above photograph (please forgive the morning rush messiness) from Little Viking Vintage on their sale rail for £10. Although, I am instantly drawn to basically every blazer in the world (because blazers are my style super item) I was especially drawn to this item because to me it was the epitome of 90s TV presenter. I paired it was dark green dress that matched some of the flecks and the sparkly converse I got for my birthday for a 90s casual look.

Dress: H & M (old)

Blazer: Little Viking Vintage

Shoes: Miley Cyrus x Converse

Floral dress.jpg

The other item I snagged in the sale rail for £10 is this lovely mid floral dress that just oozes 90s – to me it reminds me a little bit of the more earthy toned items worn in The Craft or the outfits worn in The Virgin Suicides. However,  although The Virgin Suicides was made in the 90s it was set in the 70s so the clothes had a slightly different feel.

the craft.png
The Craft (1996)
The Virgin Suicides 3
The Virgin Suicides (1999)

I didn’t have quite the right plain white top to go underneath this but am hoping to pick one up this weekend when I go into London. I think this dress would look nice styled nice and simply with accessories kept minimal.

Denim Playsuit.jpg
Apologises for the awful pose – all clothes on the floor are mine!

I’m also going to pick up this amazing denim playsuit this weekend and am considering wearing it for Pride but haven’t decided to wear that or the other dress I’m picking up which is a long 70s embroidered dress with cap sleeves that is sheer (hence no photograph as I need to buy something to wear underneath). I’ll try both looks on in my YouTube video so the internet can tell which looks better (ha, ha).

Fishnets

I finally gave in and bought some fishnet tights from the market as well as some fishnet socks (which would have looked amazing with the vegan Dr Martens I desperately wanted in an Ebay auction but couldn’t afford to bid on!). Although, I only picked up black I do want some white and pink pairs, as well as glitter in the future. The tights from the market were only £4 and the socks £2 and they are actually very comfortable.

90s slightly grunge queen.

Top: Vintage Sonic Youth top because I’m too trendy for you (ha, ha).

Dress: Vintage M & S (check out this post to find out more).

Hat: Yesstyle (the one linked is similar)

Choker: Yesstyle

Though when buying the man running the stall did ask my clothes size, which completely threw me. It turns out he was asking as they had a bigger size depending on height and stuff but I think maybe they just need to have a size on their display so people can decide! I’m luckily I’m at a place where I can mostly brush off comments like that but others can’t. It turns out the tights are quite large on me and I can pull them up very high (which, to be honest I like).

Hearts outfit brick wall.jpg

Beret and bag: Lazy Oaf

Choker: Yesstyle

Dress: Primark

Shoes: Iron Fist

70s style long dresses

I haven’t actually bought the dress I’m going to insert an image of below because I’m still not sure and think there might be things I want in London more this weekend. It will also need hemming because I’m short and I’ll need to buy one of those suction cup bra things but I think it’s flattering and will be nice and cool for the current heatwave (let me know your thoughts below). I’m not sure on the exact brand as it’s from TK Maxx but price wise it’s £29.99 (or you know £30) if that helps anyone’s decision making process.

Love Moschino heart print sandals

This is another thing from TK Maxx that I have tried on but haven’t bought. However, this item I very highly doubt I will because reduced they’re still £70!!! They are the most gloriously 90s style shoes and they’re covered in hearts, which I love! A bonus of these is that Love Moschino doesn’t use real leather as far as I have been to tell because the creative director Jeremy Scott is vegetarian. Please correct me if this is incorrect!

Love Moschino 1.jpg

Love Moschino 2.jpg
Apologises this outfit really doesn’t go but is just what I happened to be wearing that day!

Daisy Duck belt

So you just got a sneak peak of the next item except the difference is that I actually bought this item. I got this thinking it would look super cute with Lazy’s Oaf new pastel half and half jeans (if I actually end up getting them). However, it’s more of a hip belt and I wanted it to wear with fairly high waisted items so I think I’m going to have to DIY some more holes into it. I can’t remember the exact price but it was about £13 (you can see the exact price in my picture below, ha, ha) and I had to get it because of the buckle.

Everything I got at the Lazy Oaf sample sale

If you’ve not read my post with what I got at the Lazy Oaf sample sale yet or watched my video first of all where have you been? Second of all, if you have seen it then you know how I managed to pick up some goodies this time that I have been obsessed with. Something, I’ve learnt for next time though is that I think I’m going to try and focus more on the lower priced items so I can come away with more (whether I’ll be able to achieve that is another story!!!).

What I’ve been obsessed with…

The 90s

As mentioned numerous times already (and in my last blog post!) I’ve been feeling very nostalgic towards the decade I was born in at the moment. Since I grew up with a lot of TV shows from the era which inspired me fashion wise A LOT it’s unsurprising those outfits hold a dear place in my heart. I’m definitely going to be looking back over Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Clueless in the coming months so hopefully expect some posts inspired by this.

Buffy
Forever my style queen.

What I’ve been watching…

Set It Up

If you’re looking for an easy to watch romantic comedy I’d recommend Set It Up on Netflix, as not only does it star Titus from Unbreakable: Kimmy Schmidt (my only motivation for watching it) but it’s actually an enjoyable watch. It’s only interesting to see the ways in which gender politics within romantic comedies are changing, especially the jokes made to appeal to a 2018 audience.

What I’ve been collecting…

Gachapon containers

This is a bit of a weird one but I’m determined to collect enough to somehow DIY a lampshade (I’ll let you know how that goes). For those who don’t know what I mean Gachapon containers are the little plastic containers that house the toys you get out of the machines where you put a pound in.

Gachapon

Keychains/ Powerpuff Girls Kinder Egg Toys

So I may have a small Powerpuff Girls obsession and I love trinkets so I’ve been collecting any small Powerpuff Girls toys that I can get my hands on. I actually gave out the kinder egg that contained this toy at work with the condition that I would swap the toy if they got the Powerpuff toy (the pack I bought was a pack of three but only one egg had a Powerpuff girls toy – I’ve since only bought the individual Powerpuff Girls eggs to escape this deception).

I also have been loving buying the small Disney Tsum Tsum keychains to put on my keys – I also get a care bear toy which is noisy and rattles but I love it and I want more.

Powerpuff girls

What’s I’ve generally liked/ loved this month…

Hello Kitty charity shop toys

In one of local charity shops I think they received a donation from a Hello Kitty collector as one of their cabinets was choc a bloc. They’re all very loved and used but I had to pick up these two especially the Hello Kitty astronaut! The astronaut was £4 and the other Hello Kitty £3 I believe.

Hello Kitty Astronaut

Hello Kitty nurse

TK Maxx

Near where I work there is a TK Maxx that I like to go in on my break and window shop (a skill I’ve perfected) and I have to say my love for the shop has been reignited a bit even if there isn’t the best selection in that shop. I’ve also noticed TK Maxx stock brands like Topshop and River Island now which is a twist (I noticed some dresses that I’m pretty sure came out earlier this year) from what I’ve seen from them in the past.

Birthday presents

Since this month was my birthday month I also have to give a shout out to everyone who bought me a present. I loved everything I got and I am incredibly grateful. You can read about what I got for my birthday here.

Ten pastel fashion instagram accounts to inspire you this summer

I’ll begin with a confession that not all of the people on this list wear exclusively pastel all of the time but all of them always look amazing (in my humble opinion) and the looks I will be featuring all will be including a pastel element. Summer may have come briefly and then dramatically left the United Kingdom (and now it feels extra cold and I don’t mind it but I’m now just constantly in fear and don’t know what to wear); but it still (apparently) is getting close to summertime so I wanted to showcase some summery looks.

  1. Noodlerella

When the sun did hit I was feeling everything soft and pastel so Connie aka Noodlerella’s Instagram was a great source of inspiration. From her pink beret in the below picture (I have a strong obsession with all berets) to the soft sheer sleeved top (which, is another top trend I’m loving at the moment); I love everything about this look.

If you’re inspired by this look I’d suggest checking out this pink Hello Kitty x Asos beret, or this plain soft pink Asos option. If it’s something sheer and lilac that you’re after I suggest this Lazy Oaf basics lilac sheer turtleneck I’ve been coveting or this sold out H and M mesh blouse pale blue blouse (including only because it wasn’t sold out last time I checked so they may still have some in stores).

Skirt wise, I would recommend this Lazy Oaf Check Kilty Skirt option but it’s sold out (though they might have some instore if you can travel to London) though if you type in check tennis skirt into google you’ll probably be able to find a few great alternatives like this Yesstyle option. Vintage shops like Rokit in London are also a great place you could try and it’s better for the environment!

2. Pixielocks

I’ll start by saying that I know the two below images are taken from her side account. Her main Instagram account is Pixielocks but I love these two beret looks so I had to post them. I also NEED to know where that lilac gingham dress(?) is from as that with the sheer white polka dot top is a LOOK. The two berets she is wearing are from Just Peachy who I actually mentioned in my last post. They are both sold out, however, the owner of the shop has just returned from Tokyo so I’m hoping they will come back in stock soon.

I especially love these looks because I like how Pixielocks has matched her eyeshadow with the beret in the first look. I think I could create a similar look with my Juvia’s Place palette (The Magic Palette) that I got as a gift from my friend Callie but you could also probably create something similar with the Love You So Mochi Eyeshadow palette (which, I need).

3. Pretty Pastel Please

I have recently discovered this Instagram account from her Youtube channel and I obsessed with her great videos as well as all the style inspiration she provides. I particularly really love this Missguided number that is actually only £10 on the website right now. I keep looking it again and again but don’t think I’d be able to pull it off as well!

4. JasmineBlu

I don’t usually find someone who shares my first name so I get weirdly protective of my name when I do. However, her style is just so cute that I will forgive it (ha, ha). This April recently went to Tokyo and I was simultaneously living through her beautiful snaps and getting more and more enraged about how cute they were! She is also the owner of Just Peachy, which unfortunately for me means she’s definitely cooler than me.

5. Simply Kenna

Simply Kenna is another person I follow on Instagram that has recently visited Japan and consequently made me ridiculously jealous in the process. There was a lot of SCANDAL surrounding Kenna as a Youtuber a while ago (it’s not that hard to find through typing into YouTube). Honestly, I’m not sure where I stand on the situation. I follow Kenna for her style and aesthetic and have never followed her obsessively. I definitely think she didn’t behave well in the past but she has made comments that suggest she is growing recently and I think as long as she doesn’t make similar mistakes again and grows from the experience then that’s all we can hope for.

6. Emma Roberts

Ok, so this look isn’t pastel like at all (yes, I lied at the start). However, it is soft and chic and I love it. I’ve loved Emma Roberts style for a while, as she always manages to put little twists on classic ensembles that never fail to catch my eye. I will attempt to channel a bit of this the summer but I will probably end up coming out as a rainbow potato (which, is forever my aesthetic).

This is just a bonus look as I saw it and couldn’t not include it even though it doesn’t fit this post at all!

7. Kiera Please

I originally started following Kiera Please for her awesome casual cosplays and over time after seeing more and more of her posts I just get more and more upset over how beautiful she is. These three looks are relatively simply but there is something about her that just means anything she wears look awesome. I especially love the pink Barbie look and I’d recommend checking out Missguided’s Barbie Collection if you want to take inspiration from her look.

8. Pretty Star Laura

Laura for me is the queen of prints and pastel. I love the way she mixes bold prints with pastel in a way I’ve not seen anyone else do quite in the same way. Her pink fluffy cotton pink hair is also to die for. Be sure to check out her Instagram if you own anything pastel and are not sure how to style it.

9. Studiomucci

I very recently discovered this Instagram but I am already OBSESSED. All her outfits are pastel gold and I love how her eyeshadow always pops with her outfits – until recently I’ve always been a little afraid to wear the same colour eyeshadow exactly (or a very close shade) to my outfit but Amina looks ridiculously cute doing so.

10. Kawaiipeachqueen

The below look is so cute I CAN’T EVEN SPEAK. Also, because I have the same bag I  I need to take inspiration from this outfit at some point but I don’t think I’d rock the scrunchies anywhere near as well. Since I also have the cardigan in the bottom picture I’ve basically decided we are now style twins (ha, ha).

So there we have it some of my favourite Instagram accounts to look at when I need a bit of style inspiration. I’d also recommend checking out Miley Cyrus’s Instagram who I wish I could have included here but wanted to keep this post to a relatively snappy ten, as well as Kelly Eden. Also, I am in LOVE with the new Converse x Miley Cyrus collection. I’m considering asking for the pair below for my birthday but can’t decide between them and two other pairs in the collection.

If you’ve got any more pastel fashion Instagram accounts or just general fashion Instagram accounts you think I should follow let me know in the comments below.
